Balance, Not Burnout: Making Money While Making Music with Youth Music

  • 1 Fisher Gate Nottingham, England, NG1 1GD United Kingdom (map)

Aged 18-30 and want to know how to balance making money with making music? Our upcoming NextGen Community event in Nottingham lets young creatives in on everything they need to know.

Join us in Nottingham for a panel discussion, where we'll tackle the question of what it means to make money while being a musician. We'll be breaking down this topic to discuss all its dimensions, from how to juggle a full-time job alongside your creative career, to diversifying your income streams to make the most out of your music - such as through sync placements, or merch lines. You'll hear anecdotes from those who have been there, done that, and worn - or should we say, made - the t-shirt.

After the panel, enjoy a performance from local NextGen Funded artist katie, followed by an open mic and networking session.

Signups to the open mic will be first-come, first-served once doors open. You can register your interest to perform by ticking the question box at checkout, but this will not guarantee your performance; slots will be very limited, so arrive early to sign up and avoid disappointment. For the open mic, please bring any instruments you would need for your performance.
