Shut up & Write!

  • 1 Fisher Gate Nottingham, England, NG1 1GD United Kingdom (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Start your week creatively, with a relaxed hour of writing in the company of other writers. We believe that having a group quietly writing alongside you can help with focus and productivity (and be enjoyable, too!). Whether you’re trying to produce a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just something for your work, you are invited to write it with us. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. And don’t worry, no one will demand to see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice.

SCHEDULE: 6pm – Arrive, get yourself something to drink/eat (there’s a bar/cafe at the venue), and introduce yourself and your goals for the session (if you want). 6.15 pm - Timer starts: write for 1 hour. If you arrive late, that’s fine; just grab a seat and quietly start your writing. 7:15 pm - Feel free to either leave or stick around for a while to chat and discuss how the session went, or maybe even write for a little longer. The event is free, but it would be awesome to show our gratitude to our hosts at Fisher Gate Point by purchasing something to eat or drink!
