FLORAL PATTERN is an alt-jazz collective based between Derby and Nottingham, led by saxophonist and composer Myles Noble. Blending the raw energy of UK soundsystem culture with the innovation of the contemporary jazz scene, the band crafts euphoric, improvisation-heavy performances that are both psychedelic and rhythmically intense. Expect hard-hitting horn lines, driving Afrobeat-inspired drums, and bold experiments in live electronic processing.
They’ve shared stages with acts like the Neue Grafik Ensemble and Tom McGuire & The Brassholes, and have built a reputation for high-energy sets across Derby, Nottingham, and Sheffield.
Joshua Todd is an independent performer, producer and composer based in Nottingham, who is currently painting a broad musical palette that references genres of indie, New-Wave, and contemporary alternative influences (Radiohead, The Killers, English Teacher) and has performed alongside acts such as Kid Spirit, Special Friend, and Sunk, and receiving airplay in advance on BBC radio for multiple collaboration projects with other notable Nottingham artists.
